The Founder of Faculty of Homeopathy Malaysia
Lord Pandit Prof Dr Nik Omar is one of the most successful Malay Homeopathic and Acupuncture practitioner in Malaysia.
It is rarely in the the history of and art or science that arises a figure of such gigantic stature, such a prodigious achievement, of such a strong character and creative force whom has both the skill of homeopathic medicine from the west and acupuncture from the east, that he combine together to be known as 'intergrated medicine'
The first of its kind in Malaysia
For the last more than 25 years he had been promoting and developing this alternative or complementary form of medication in Malaysia.
He graduated as homeopathic doctor from Pakistan Homeopathic Medical College, Lahore and later persue his studies in London.
While in London, he started his private practice at Kilburn High Street London for two year 1975-1977 and at the end of 1977 he came back in Malaysia.
When he started his first modern homeopathic clinic at Kota Bharu in 1977, he stood alone.. Homeopathy was not known by Malaysian, infact some misunderstood as a form of traditional healer.
We can say that he started homeopathy as 'ZERO' and today year 2005 he became a 'HERO' in Homeopathy,
From nothing, he started to develop homeopathy in Malaysia. In 1979 he started the first ever college of homeopathy in Malaysia by the name of 'The Faculty of Homeopathy Malaysia' With 7 students in 1979, now in the year 2005 he has more tahn 5,000 students from all over the world.
He is the man who founded 'The Registered Homeopathic Medical Practitioners Association' in 1984, and now the membership has turned to be more than 500 strong members.
He is the founder of Research Institute of Medical Acupuncture which has links with TCM Beijing, China and also International Acupuncture Society in Korea, Saudi Arabia, Turkey,etc. It is worth to mention here that, many Malaysian Chinese has come to RIMAc to study Chinese Clasical Acupuncture from our master 'Sir fu' Prof Nik Omar. He is considered as the first Malays who teach and spread Chinese Acupuncture among the Malays and he is the first man to write a book on Chinese Medicine Clinical Acupuncture & Moxibustion.
He is also the founder of International Voluntary Organization which he called as 'The Doctor Without Barriers' This voluntary DRWB has works all over the world such as in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Malaysia.
Recently he served at Tsunami Disaster at Kuala Kedah, Malaysia.
Prof Nik Omar has written hundred of articles about his works in homeopathy and acupuncture in various magazines and news paper locally and abroad.
He came out regularly in local Radio 3 Ibukota, TV Malaysia and Radio & TV Brunei talking about family health care through Complementary Medicines.
He has treated more than 1 million patients in his clinic throughout the country. He is an active members of International Community in Homeopathy and Acupuncture.
Dr Nik Omar does not fit the stereotype of the dedicated healer quietly pioneering his art and science. He is too bullish. Both his colleagues and his rivals acknowledge his tremendous energy. All recognise that he, more than anyone, is responsible for raising the medicine's profile in Malaysia.

His Special Method of Treatment - Holistic Approach
In his practice he strive to bring back tradition of a caring healer, one who knows and understand his patients, not just his disorder. By offering this highly individualistic approach, where he developed the healing power of Classical Homeopathy and Classical Chinese Acupuncture and also Reiki Healing, combine with his understanding of western medical approach, he got the best result in treating various chronic diseases that the other system of medicine failed to cure !
Although Prof Sir Nik Omar uses Reiki Healing, homeopathic or acupuncture system of medicine to treat wide range of problems, he has a special interest in pain management syndrome and Stroke Syndrome. He is also well known as 'homeopathic gynae specilaist' where he has successfully treated more than thousand couples through his 'Homeopathic Method of Infertility -HTI-P200'
